About Rumi Library
Since its inception in 2005, the library endeavours to cater the information and learning needs of its users. The library offers a conducive environment for access to quality information resources that enables a diverse community of learners to think critically, communicate effectively, and engage in lifelong learning. It is sufficiently equipped so as to help students excel and realize their full potential as the youth of the twenty-first century. The library system thus serves as a key to intellectual resources that support the teaching, learning and research goals of the university. The library is centrally located in the main campus sharing physical space with other departments. Currently library stacks its lending book collections in a spacious hall, with reference collections in other. Browsing Centre is situated in the first floor with 50 computer terminals available for the library users to browse online resources and search the web. The Library uses SOUL 2.0 software for automation of its operations and services. It is also a constituent of the National Knowledge Network, a member of DELNET (Developing Library Network), a beneficiary of E-Shodh Sindhu: Consortium for Higher Education Electronic Resources executed by INFLIBNET Centre of UGC, and a participating institution member of Shodhganga, an online theses & dissertations hosting facility of higher education institutions of India.
